The Falzari agricultural company, located in Vinci, has been producing wine and olive oil for 25 years. With limestone soils used for grape growing, olive cultivation, and mixed crops and orchards, the company boasts a scenic terrace that provides an incredible view of the valley below. In celebration of its 25th anniversary, Falzari continues to cultivate and produce its high-quality regional products, while maintaining any existing HTML tags.
The Falzari farm celebrates 25 years of activity with pride and gratitude for the land that welcomes and nourishes it. The passion and dedication of the owners and staff, combined with the experience gained over these years, allow for the production of high-quality wines and oils while respecting the traditions of the territory and using sustainable production methods. Located in Vinci, at the foot of Montalbano, the Falzari farm, which has been producing wine and oil for 25 years, has an extension of 14.65 hectares on a hill about 60 meters above sea level. The soils are calcareous, of medium composition, with a clay percentage ranging from around 35 to 40% and a skeleton given by the nicchio, a common Tuscan name for a fossil calcareous marine shell that appears white. These soils are cultivated with vines, olive trees, arable land, orchards, and a small artichoke field. From the panoramic terrace, located above the cellar, we can admire a stunning view: a lake surrounded by trees at the bottom. On the right, there are 3.3 hectares of vineyards planted in 2003 (3 hectares) and 2020 (0.3 hectares), all composed of red berries: Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. On the left, there are vineyards of white berries, Vermentino in the upper part (0.3 hectares) and Trebbiano Toscano, mostly Trebbiano Rosa (0.7 hectares). Laterally placed to the 3.3-hectare vineyard, the 3.6-hectare olive grove consists of two bodies, one larger of about 1 hectare, placed laterally to the vineyard, with around 400 plants of 7 different cultivars: moraiolo, frantoio, leccio, pendolino, mignolo, grappolo, rossellino; another, exposed to the North, with around 700 plants of pendolino, frantoio, moraiolo, leccio. Other scattered olive trees bring the total number to 1300 plants. The wines are the result of the selection of the best grapes, grown with care and passion, and of a meticulous processing that enhances their organoleptic characteristics. Our extra virgin olive oil is produced with hand-picked olives and cold pressing to preserve the properties and the unique flavor of our cultivars as much as possible. The commitment to sustainable production has led the Falzari farm to adopt environmentally and animal-friendly farming practices. By cultivating without the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, biodiversity of the soils is promoted along with the preservation of autochthonous species. We want to make our farm and our products known to visitors. We organize guided tastings, visits to the cellar and vineyards, and offer the opportunity to buy our products directly on the farm. Come and visit us and discover for yourself the beauty of our land and the passion we put into every bottle of wine and every bottle of extra virgin olive oil. - Sergio Falzari Keeping HTML tags if present.
